Newsflash

Steeplechase is one of the premier up-and-coming alternative rock bands of the New Jersey/New York City Metro Area. Defined by their ringing guitar textures, rich keyboard atmospherics and yearning, melodic vocals, the band exploded onto the Jersey Shore music scene at the end of the 1990s with such epic songs as “Far and Away” and “Lionesse”. Steeplechase Studio Progress for the New Album

Wednesday, 13 May 2009
Steeplechase is currently finishing up work in the studio for their forthcoming summer release. The band has been writing and recording a great deal of new material and has been busy narrowing it down in order to finalize the track listing for the new album. Steeplechase rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Jay “J.P.” Pavich has said the following in regards to the band’s present state of progress in the studio: “At this point we’re just figuring out the most appropriate songs for the record – and this hasn’t been easy because so many great songs have been written. For me, the recording process for this album in particular has been a very enjoyable experience. This time around the band has all contributed ideas to the basic song structures which Poc and Jason initially wrote. The result is a sound unmistakably Steeplechase which developed quite organically. In short, between the upcoming (“Elusive Cathedrals”) film and the new music, I think this summer is going to be a great one for Steeplechase and our fans.”
