S T E E P L E C H A S E

Steeplechase developed out of the success of a demo that was cut by songwriting duo, brothers Poc Silver and Jason Silver with the help of their good friend and future bandmate, Greg Mazurek. Their first EP, “ONCE”, went on to catch the ear of Grammy-Winning Producer Elliot Scheiner (The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith), and led to the formation of Steeplechase, a melodic alternative rock band based in New Jersey.

Steeplechase is led by Poc and Jason and supported by an impressive roster of some of the most talented Jersey Shore Area musicians around, including The Cryers alumnus and multi-instrumentalist, Jeff Otis Brown. The band has a distinctive sound, which features yearning melodic vocals, ringing texture guitars, and layered keyboard atmospherics.

The band has released several albums including “Battleview Orchards”, “She Calls Me Out Tonight” produced by Grammy-Nominee John Ravenhall (Paul McCartney, Elton John, Sting), and their celebrated double album, “Afterwords”. Their acclaimed follow-up, entitled "The Wayfinder" was released in late 2014 along with the release of their best of back catalog compilation, “Elusive Cathedrals,” and a special re-release of “Afterwords”. A highly anticipated new recording project is scheduled for release in spring 2022.

Steeplechase is an internationally published and licensed act, with songs featured on MTV, TNT, E!, Style, G4, and other networks as well as film and radio. Steeplechase is published and distributed by Sugo Music Group and looks forward to further successes with global licensing partners and sub-publishers, including Jack Russell Music, Wacbiz, Eastaste Music, No Angel Records, and Peter Gabriel's CueSongs.
